collaborate for change
collaborate for change
We want to work with you to enable better health for all.
We develop meaningful relationships with governments at all levels, funding bodies, research institutions, health services, peak bodies, private corporations and community organisations. Most importantly, all our work engages directly with communities.
Diversity working for you
Coelho Networks specialises in designing solutions for the inclusion of people from migrant and refugee backgrounds, asylum seekers, and mobile populations in public health initiatives.
Multicultural communities experience poorer health outcomes overall compared to the broader Australian population because of the significant barriers that exist, including a lack of culturally competent and safe health services, language barriers, and the complexity of our healthcare system. In addition, communities have varying health belief systems, levels of health literacy, modalities for help seeking, settlement issues and experiences of trauma, racism, discrimination and stigmatisation.
We can help you improve your research, program implementation and links with community to build better health.

I pay my respects to the traditional custodians of the land in which I work and live, the home of the Wurundjeri, to elders past, present and emerging. I acknowledge the pain of the theft of lands and attempts to destroy culture, language and connection. As a migrant woman who has birthed two babies in the country, I am indebted for the timeless nurture of land, culture and generosity of spirit. I acknowledge the benefit and gift bestowed on me and my children while sharing an understanding of the intergenerational impact of colonisation. I take a stand in recognition of the harm experienced and fight against systemic and structural racism and discrimination. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land.
